It’s September 2023, and I had a little less than two months to start work on my YouTube channel for Trevor Baron Music. This summer, I had albums to release, and textbooks to publish. I spent so much time teaching during the summer that I never had enough time to work on the videos as planned.
I’m not a YouTuber and have never created theory videos; I have many questions. Do I use my music notation programs or write the examples using my graphics tablet? Do I start with videos for my students studying grade three theory, grade nine harmony, or orchestration?
There is a lot I have yet to work out, and not having any experience making music theory, I expect even the shortest video to take me a long time, but I hope by the end of the year, I will have something on this channel. Have a great summer, and if you’re one of my students, see you in the Fall.
