About My Music
A personal look at how these projects came to be—and where they’re headed.
About My Music
I don’t title most of my compositions—they’re simply numbered. Each piece is part of an ongoing exploration, not necessarily written for performance or release. These categories reflect how I think about what I write, but at the core, they’re all part of the same process: learning, experimenting, and seeing what happens when an idea takes shape.

Piano
There’s something special about writing for the piano. With its ability to produce both melody and harmony, I appreciate how a single instrument can suggest a wide range of moods and styles. Whether classical, jazz, or pop, many of my ideas begin at the keyboard. These pieces often reflect anything from a quiet moment to an idea or a specific mood I wanted to capture.

Orchestral
I enjoy the intricacy of orchestral music—its color, shape, and nuance. While I appreciate cinematic orchestral writing, I’m often drawn to concert music for its less produced, more intimate sound. I use this space to explore atmosphere, motion, and complexity—the kinds of ideas that a larger ensemble can uniquely support. Click below to see my compositions.

Ensemble
Writing for smaller groups feels like a conversation—each part has a voice, and the interplay between them becomes the piece. I enjoy the clarity and structure that come with ensemble writing, as well as the chance to explore balance, contrast, and texture in a more focused setting. Educational
Some of my favorite pieces are written with students in mind. These aren’t exercises—they’re musical works meant to be accessible, engaging, and within a student’s skill level. I think of them as bridges: helping learners build confidence while discovering the enjoyment music can offer. Feel free to explore the educational compositions I’ve been working on.

Electronic
Electronic music is relatively new territory for me—a space where I set aside tradition and lean into instinct. I don’t worry much about form or genre; I let texture, rhythm, or a particular sound lead the way. These pieces often begin as studio sketches and evolve based on the tools or instruments I’m working with. It’s a fun departure from my usual approach.

Experimental
This category is where I simply follow an idea to see what happens. Sometimes the results are unusual, sparse, or remain unfinished until a future idea connects with them. It’s where my musical and technical interests intersect, and I enjoy the freedom it allows. Not every piece needs to fit into a specific style—sometimes things just unfold on their own.
